Antoine and Ankit met on an online "climate-tech" community. Together, with our amazing team in London, they're building Ganddee to democratize reusing, repairing, and second-hand purchases.
Antoine (CEO) brings deep startup expertise, having spent years in fast growing early stage companies. Before Ganddee, Antoine was Head of Research in a London-based FinTech. Ankit (CTO) is contributing his world-class engineering talent, bringing over a decade of industry experience from his work at Samsung, Amazon, and Shopify.
The Ganddee team is united by the mission to shape a better world, one where tech is used to do good things. Our shared goal is to empower everyone, everywhere, to live more sustainably and save money doing so.

HOW IS GANDDEE DIFFERENT FROM VINTED?
Unlike Vinted, Ganddee is not a marketplace of items. On Ganddee, we connect you to local second-hand shops, charity shops, vintage pop-ups and events like car boot sales. Our goal is not to compete with Vinted and to offer person-to-person buying/selling functionalities. Our mission is to make it easier and funnier to find amazing places to thrift IRL with your friends. This mission is rooted in our core belief that online shopping will never be able to "replicate" the experience of in-person thrifting. When we shop second-hand in person, we can try things on, haggle (sometimes), we don't need to pay hidden delivery fees, the purchase comes with instant gratification (no need to wait to receive the item), and, more importantly - shopping in-person means we can go with friends!
CAN I BUY ITEMS ON GANDDEE?
No, not yet. For now, Ganddee doesn't offer you ways to purchase items on the app. This might be added in the future if we're seeing demand for such functionalities (if you'd like to see this, write to us at hello@ganddee.com 😊). Today we're fully focused on making it easier for thrifters to find local second-hand shops and events wherever they go!
WHY DO I NEED GANDDEE, CAN'T I USE GOOGLE MAPS?
There are a few things that make Ganddee the best app to thrift in-person:
1. Ganddee lists second-hand shops as well as popups and events (these aren't on Google Maps)
2. Ganddee is improved every single day by our community of thrifters who suggest new spots, report closed ones, drop reviews when they visit second-hand shops and share their thrift hauls.
By using Ganddee, you have a direct window on your local thrifting scene, wherever you go 😁
