What is Devon Air Ambulance?

Devon Air Ambulance Trust is an independent UK charity that provides lifesaving emergency medical response services across the county of Devon in South West England. It operates two helicopter air ambulances and a fleet of critical care cars to reach people in need of urgent medical care - especially in rural, remote or hard-to-access areas - when every second counts. The charity is entirely funded through public donations, fundraising and community support, and patients are never charged for the service.

DAAT focuses on rapid response to critical incidents such as traffic collisions, serious illness and injury, and works to improve patient outcomes by delivering advanced care directly at the scene. While its operational footprint is solely within Devon, the impact is local and life-changing, providing crucial support for people across the county when it matters most.

Devon Air Ambulance Charity Shops

To support its lifesaving work, Devon Air Ambulance runs a vibrant network of around 20+ charity shops throughout Devon.

These charity shops sell a wide variety of pre-loved items including quality clothing, accessories, books, household goods, toys, gifts and bric-a-brac, and some even feature vintage/variety ranges and online selling options. The income generated from these shops helps fund the charity's mission - keeping its air ambulances and critical care crews ready to respond to emergencies across Devon. Many shops also act as community hubs and welcome volunteers to support daily operations.
