What is Dove House Hospice?
Dove House Hospice is a Hull-based charity providing specialist care for adults with progressive and life-limiting illnesses across Hull and East Yorkshire. The hospice offers a range of services including inpatient care, community support, and emotional wellbeing services, all provided free of charge to patients and their families.
Dove House Hospice Charity Shops
Dove House Hospice runs one of the largest hospice retail networks in the region, with around 36 shops across Hull and East Yorkshire. Their shops are described as Aladdin's caves of pre-loved clothes, homewares, toys, and games. They also operate a dedicated furniture shop called At Home on Hessle Road, which sells donated furniture and large household items collected for free. The shops generate around 50% of the hospice's total income. A newer concept store, The Market, offers a more curated thrifting experience with vintage homewares, fashion, and more.
