What is Enable Ireland?
Enable Ireland is a major Irish charity dedicated to supporting children and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities and their families. Enable Ireland runs a network of approximately 20+ charity shops across Ireland, with locations in towns including Dublin (Capel Street, Lower Camden Street, Thomas Street), Kilkenny, Galway, Wexford, Mullingar, Carlow, CorkĀ and Limerick, among others. These shops offer a variety of pre-loved clothing, shoes, accessories, books, homewares and collectibles, all carefully sorted and priced to appeal to local second-hand shoppers. Proceeds from shop sales go directly toward funding Enable Ireland's services for people with disabilities, helping turn donated items into cash for disability supports. Many of the shops also participate in charity recycling initiatives, and Enable Ireland operates an online eBay shop to broaden its fundraising reach.
