What is Shaw Trust?
Shaw Trust is one of the UK's largest employment charities, founded in 1982 in the village of Shaw in Wiltshire. Its mission is to help people facing barriers to work - including those with disabilities, health conditions, or complex needs - find and keep meaningful employment. Today it supports over 50,000 people a year across the UK through employment programmes, education, training, and social enterprises.
Shaw Trust Charity Shops
Shaw Trust runs around 32 charity shops across England, Wales, and Scotland, from Glasgow to the South West. The shops sell clothing, toys, books, DVDs, and other donated goods, with larger stores in Sittingbourne, Neath, and Glasgow also accepting furniture and electricals. The shops serve a dual purpose: raising funds for Shaw Trust's work and providing volunteering and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities or other barriers to work.
