What is Jack and Jill?
The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation is an Irish charity that funds and provides in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of six with severe neurodevelopmental delay and complex medical needs. It also provides end-of-life care. Founded in 1997, the charity was born from the experience of Jonathan Irwin and Mary Ann O'Brien, whose son Jack suffered brain damage after birth. Today it supports families across every county in Ireland.
Jack and Jill Charity Shops
Jack and Jill operates a network of 18 Charity Boutiques across Ireland, in locations ranging from Arklow and Kilkenny to Tralee, Athlone, and Monaghan. The boutiques sell pre-loved clothes, accessories, toys, books, LEGO, and household items. A fun detail: they actively collect donated LEGO bricks, which are sold on to fund home nursing care hours. Every €20 raised in their shops covers one hour of nursing care for a local family.
